Dear colleagues,
For 15 years now, KompasGuide successfully publishes with passion and determination youth literature in Russian language.
For 15 years, KompasGuide’s team and I, we are looking for the best texts, even when it’s not easy. These texts, offered to children, teenagers and their parents, speak about life as it is. Indeed, since 2009, KompasGuide’s editorial policy has been to talk about reality and to always remain independent. The subjects we cover, although sometimes with difficulties, reach a large and loyal audience resonating with these themes.
For these reasons (and among others our authors’ talents), our books are recognised by the Russian and international professional community, and received numerous prizes.
It is great pride as a publisher to see our books published abroad in France, Italy and China but also in Lebanon, Thailand, South Korea or the UAE, among many others. Strong after these 15 years and thousands of books published, I take advantage of this message to thank you all for accompanying us in this beautiful adventure. And this adventure of course continues! In 2024, three projects are particularly close to our hearts:
• the first one, “Beast 44” written by Eugene Rudashevsky is a striking dystopia and the only one Russian text selected for the 2023 White Ravens list in Munich;
• the second one, “Those Who Weren’t There” written by Anna Zenkova was selected for the White Ravens list in 2024;
• the third one, “The New Black Coat” by luminous Maria Boteva was selected for IBBY Honour List — 2024.
